The 10 best players of the WAFLW 2026 season

Celebrating a great season, with an epic finals series ahead.

The ATCO WAFLW Finals are here, and if you haven’t grabbed a ticket yet I suggest jumping on and heading down to Steel Blue Oval or Good Grocer Park this Sunday.

The regular season was a ripper, with seven teams battling for a top four spot from start to finish. Swan Districts set the pace, Claremont caught up quickly, and then the rest made a real run in the back half of the year.

We also saw plenty of massive individual seasons.

Some of them ended in early AFLW opportunities. Noa McNaughton (Fremantle) and Sienna Gerardi (West Coast) were picked up in the pre-season draft in May, then Poppy Stockwell (Hawthorn), Juliet Kelly (Adelaide), Natasha Entwistle (West Coast), Madison Evans (Brisbane) and Isabella Shannon (West Coast) got the call-up as injury replacement players through the season.

Then there were plenty of others who helped define what was one of the best, most competitive WAFLW seasons we’ve had.

To shape this list, we surveyed five judges from across the media, coaching and playing ranks, asking for their 10 best for the season, and ranked them according to the number of selections.

The top three were unanimous picks. The rest weren’t far off.

When players received the same number of votes, they were ranked according to how high their club finished on the ladder.
