G’day punchers!

Tomorrow the Sullivan Logistics WAFL kicks off for season 2026. It’s a Good Friday.

I know this gets said a lot but this is genuinely one of the most anticipated seasons in a long time. Every team has recruited well, jostling for finals positions will be red-hot, and it looks like the rain will hold off, at least for now (touch wood).

This post is for paid-up Jumper Punches members. If you haven’t already, consider upgrading your subscription. The Monday wrap will always be free, but paid subscribers get access to extra features, monthly giveaways and more.

But if that’s a step too far for now and you’re looking for more WAFL content, the podcast I host for the league - Seven Point Play - kicked off earlier this week. It’s up on Youtube or wherever you listen to podcasts.

Today’s feature is on the players I’m most interested in seeing this season.

Some are in the AFL draft frame, some are making a comeback after injury or a long career break, and some are ready to pop and make a bigger impact on the comp.

Alright, let’s get stuck in.
